• TYPE LOCALITY. "Sajan" [Sayan Mts., Russia],
• SYNONYMS: vitimensis (Verity, 1911).
• RANGE. From the Altai Mts. to central Yakutia.
• DISTRIBUTION AND VARIATION. The Altai and Sayan mts., Siberia as well as Tran sb aikalia.
• TAXONOMIC NOTES. Eitschberger (1983) considers this species as closely allied to P. dulcinea; in our opinion, however, it seems best to be treated as a subspecies of P. dulcinea.
• HABITATS AND BIOLOGY. Very similar to P. napi, but it has a single generation and almost never occurs on cultivated lands.
